Restaurant Zucca, London 9.7.2011

Saturday evening was our last night in London. We had made a reservation to a Italian restaurant called Zucca. Alex had recommended it for us. Zucca is a quite new restaurant serving modern Italian food. It is located in Bermondsey near the London bridge.

The atmosphere was lively and relaxed.

For starters Pauliina ordered Mozzarella cheese and aubergine and Mirka's choice was Vitello tonnato- a classic. Both were just the way they should be :-)

For main courses we chose tuna and ox cheek. Ox dish was heavenly!!! The meat was melting in your mouth. And the polenta gave a perfect contrast to the strong taste of ox. Tuna was served with fresh rocket salad. A beautiful dish with a good taste.

For desserts we ordered Polenta cake and Plum Semifreddo. We were both very happy with our choises.

We had wonderful dinner in Zucca. Meal for two including wine costed only 75. We both had a three course dinner and we were very pleased with the food, which was fresh and tasty and well presented. In our opinion Zucca is a very affordable restaurant. Zucca is absolutely worth to visit.
